Turns out that McCullough is internationally known. In one of those “small world” experiences, we were introduced to a couple in England whose daughter is friends with my son. This couple is from the Basque country in Spain and speaks no English. As their daughter was making the introduction in their language, all of the sudden the woman looks at me and says “McCullough!” The daughter explains that she has shown her parents the Shayna Meadows Facebook page and since they like horses, they have been drawn to McCullough. It also turns out that a word in Basque that sounds very much like McCullough means lazy or sluggish… which anyone who knows McCullough can attest fits her. Who would think that a little black mustang born in Northern Wyoming would be a therapy horse in West Virginia and come to be known by name to people in Spain. It’s a small world and McCullough is doing big things!
